The Global Impact Forum 2024

Penn State Outreach and the K-12 Engagement Network are proud to partner with Global Silicon Valley (GSV) to hold the first High School Student Spotlight at The Global Impact Forum (TGIF) 2024. TGIF is a meeting place for thought leaders from education, entrepreneurship, and technology sectors who share the goal of accelerating meaningful change. This inaugural event is designed to help attendees diversify networks, build local-to-global connections, and provide actionable insights, tools, and resources to facilitate positive impact at scale.

High School Student Spotlight

Taking place on the second day of TGIF 2024, the High School Student Spotlight will engage regional high school youth in grades 9-12 beyond the classroom to showcase STEM projects, ideas, or successes to increase visibility from and access to regional, national, and global industry leaders in STEM–focused careers. Teachers are invited to submit an application on behalf of individuals, groups, or teams to exhibit in the Grand Hall of the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Monday, September 23. 

Spotlight Details

  • One table to showcase a project or visual representation of ideas
  • Maximum of five students per presentation group
  • Conference registration not required for participation

In addition to an exhibition, participating students are invited to stay for a lunchtime keynote presentation, discussion with industry experts, and advice on career readiness and pathways.
